Triveni Sangam — the king of tirthas
Prayagraj, the ancient Prayaga, is where the Ganga, Yamuna and the unseen Saraswati meet at the Triveni Sangam. It hosted the Maha Kumbh in 2025 and holds the Magh Mela every January–February, when kalpvasis and pilgrims camp on the sangam sands for a month of snan and sadhana.

The guiding presence
A snan at the Sangam during Magh Mela or Kumbh is considered among the most meritorious acts in Sanatan Dharma. Prayagraj is also the seat of the akhadas during every Kumbh.
Official dates
Dates follow official government and akhada announcements and can change. Always reconfirm with us before travel.
During Mela season, Guru Maa's camp stay is arranged within the akhada shivir area. The exact camp location and ghat distance are confirmed with your booking.
Getting there
Prayagraj Junction (PRYJ) — major trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi.
Prayagraj Airport (Bamrauli, IXD) — ~12 km from the city; flights from Delhi, Mumbai and other metros.
On NH-19 and NH-30; regular buses and taxis from Varanasi (~120 km) and Lucknow (~200 km).
Nearby
On main snan dates, reach the camp a day early — roads close to vehicles near the Mela area.
Carry minimal luggage to the ghat; a change of clothes in a waterproof bag is enough.
Winter mornings are cold and foggy — pack warm layers for the dawn snan.
