Simhastha Kumbh 2027 on the Godavari
Nashik hosts the Simhastha Kumbh on the banks of the Godavari, with the main bathing at Ram Kund in Nashik and at Trimbakeshwar, the source of the river and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The 2027 Simhastha's Amrut Snan dates are officially announced.

The guiding presence
The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Kumbh is linked to Lord Rama's stay at Panchavati and to the origin of the Godavari through Sage Gautama's penance. Bathing at Ram Kund on an Amrut Snan day is the heart of the pilgrimage.
Official dates
Dates follow official government and akhada announcements and can change. Always reconfirm with us before travel.
Guru Maa's camp is planned in the akhada shivir area near Trimbakeshwar. Exact location, ghat distance and check-in details are confirmed with your booking.
Getting there
Nashik Road station (NK) — ~10 km from the city; trains from Mumbai, Delhi and Pune.
Nashik Airport (Ozar, ISK) — ~24 km; Mumbai's airports (~170 km) offer far more connections.
On the Mumbai–Agra highway (NH-160/old NH-3); ~170 km from Mumbai, ~210 km from Pune.
Nearby
On Amrut Snan days the akhada processions begin before dawn — stay inside the camp the night before.
Trimbakeshwar is ~28 km from Nashik city; plan darshan on a non-snan day for smaller crowds.
Monsoon season — carry rainwear and footwear that grips on wet stone.
